About The REC
Join us at the community’s first full spectrum recreational complex and all-in-one destination. The Rec is the place for a daytime adventure at the area’s only Clip ‘N Climb Climbing Wall, a home for all of your fitness needs, and a location for your next party, wedding or corporate event. You’ll enjoy outdoor time on the soccer field or get in some cardio on the 6-lane track before taking a dip in the pool, a slide down the waterslide, or a splash into the lazy river. It’s easy to see that The REC has everything you need to entertain your family, find yourself, find friends, and focus on the moments in life that matter the most.

Outdoor Features
Dog Park
The REC Complex has a great play area for you and your 4 legged friend. The Dog Park has a small, and large dog play area so they can play with dogs compatible with their size. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations, be non-aggressive, and be over 4 months old. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pet and must follow all of the Dog Park rules and policies.
Outdoor Fitness Track
The REC Complex offers a 6 lane, 400 Meter asphalt track as well as a roughly ½ mile fitness trail the public can use for their physical fitness needs. If you need to train for an upcoming race, or if you just enjoy walking the track this would be an excellent area for you to use.
Soccer Field
The Soccer Field at the REC Complex can be used by the public to play a variety of recreational sports. Open recreational play is held on a first come first serve basis, unless the field has been reserved for previously scheduled programs from Fairview Heights Parks & Recreation.

Youth Policies
AQUATIC CENTER
AGES 6 AND UNDER: Member parent or guardian (18+) must be in water within arm’s reach of the child.
AGES 7-10: Youth must be accompanied and supervised by a member or guardian (18+).
AGES 11-12: Youth must have a member or guardian (18+) present at The REC at all times.
TRACK & GYMNASIUM
AGES 6 AND UNDER: Member parent or guardian (18+) must be actively with child.
AGES 7-10: Youth must be accompanied and supervised by a member parent or guardian (18+).
AGES 11-12: Youth must have a member parent or guardian (18+) present at The REC at all times.
FITNESS ROOM
AGES 9 AND UNDER: Youth are not allowed on fitness floor, in the weight room, or in fitness classroom, unless ages specified.
AGES 10-15: Must pass safety orientation and be supervised by member parent or guardian (18+) while in the weight room.
GUESTS 17 AND UNDER: MUST be with a parent/legal guardian after the following times:
Monday – Thursday: 7:00 PM
Friday: 6:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 2:00 PM
Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the weight room or Recreation facility
MEMBER RESTRICTIONS
YOUTH AGES 13-15: Parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must sign a Youth Agreement for youth to be allowed in the facility alone. While under a Youth Agreement, any non-compliance with The REC’s facility rules and regulations may result in cancellation of Youth Agreement.
NON-MEMBER RESTRICTIONS
YOUTH (17 AND UNDER): Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (21+) to purchase a membership. Daily rates and passes for youth (17 & under) non-members must have their parent/guardian, or another member’s parent/guardian present at The REC at all times, and must abide by each individual age policy, or be at grounds for removal.

GENERAL PAVILION INFORMATION
- Pavilions can be reserved beginning of the calendar year for the months of April through October. (Outside of those months pavilions are first come first serve.)
- Restroom facilities are closed November-April in case of freezing temperatures.
- Pavilion reservations can be made at the Parks & Recreation Office.
- Pavilion cancellations must be made at least one week in advance.
- No DJ’s, bands, or bounce house can be brought to the park.
- Fairview Heights pavilions can now be reserved by both residents and non-residents!
