Congratulations! You’ve finally found your all-in-one functional fitness destination. Our group fitness classes will provide options to everyone from the slow mover to the trained athlete. From Yoga to Boot Camp, we’ll keep you on your toes every moment that you spend at The REC.

If you are more of a lone wolf when it comes to your fitness routine, you’ll definitely find your happy place working out in our state-of-the-art weight room or on the various treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio and training equipment that you’ll find at The REC.

REC Online Fitness

JOIN US FROM HOME! Please continue your Rec training by participating in one of our Rec Online Fitness Classes from the comfort of your own home! Start, stop and finish as you please, but most of all, stay healthy and strong!

The Rec’s fitness center is approx. 5,000 square feet of the newest fitness equipment including:
  • 30 cardiovascular machines (treadmills, elliptical trainers, Arc trainers, stationary bikes, rowers)
  • Over 30 resistance training machines designed to meet the needs of all fitness levels
  • 2 Hammer Strength athletic racks with attached lifting platforms
  • Synergy360 by Life Fitness, a fully functional multipurpose exercise station
  • TruStretch station with multiple tools for mobility and flexibility
  • 2 group exercise classrooms
A wide selection of training modalities includes:
  • Well Beats kiosk, a user friendly tool for streaming exercise classes and exercise tutorials
  • Dumbbells, medicine balls, kettlebells, resistance bands, bumper plates, and balance pads
Additional services for members include:
  • Group Classes – HIIT, Boot camp, Circuit, Aerobic, TRX suspension training, Active aging, yoga, dance, spin, strength, and more
  • Personal Training with an exclusive user friendly app for regular check ins!
  • Group Fitness Training
  • Special events and monthly challenges

PERSONAL TRAINING

The REC offers qualified fitness professionals to help members reach their health and fitness goals safely, efficiently, and faster than working out on their own.  Motivation, accountability, customized workouts, reduced risk for injury, support, and valuable information that lasts a lifetime.  Members that utilize personal training services will have access to a training app so your trainer is a click away!

One-on-one personal training and group training will be available in 30-60 minute packages. 

All training packages come with a free consultation/assessment, monthly check in’s, newsletter, customized workouts, nutrition recommendations, accountability, and lifelong learning.  Invest in your health!

One-on-One Training

Need individual attention, have specialized fitness goals, or hate planning workouts?  Our personal trainers will motivate, educate, and hold you accountable!  Working with a personal trainer is the best way to get results.  Sessions include 30-60 minute sessions.  For pricing or more info, please contact Melissa Johnson, Fitness Manager.

Group Training

Those that train together, stay together! Not ready for one-on-one sessions or not within your price range? Enhance your training experience by working with friends, family, or like-minded individuals who enjoy fitness. Camaraderie, variety, accountability, fun, and quicker results! Fitness Primer Package

$120 (One per member)

Have you ever wanted to try personal training but are unsure if it’s for you? Experience an introduction to personal training before you commit. This package includes 1 consultation, and 3 personalized training sessions. Advice, recommendations, help with goal setting, motivation, and the chance to learn from the best.

Group Fitness Classes

Boxing Circuit


Take your stress out on the bag! This class combines basic boxing fundamentals with mitts and gloves, interval training stations to elevate heart rate and burn calories. All fitness levels welcome!

Tai Chi


Tai Chi is an ancient martial arts discipline that helps people learn balance, mindfulness, and coordination. This is also a great class for those with chronic conditions such as arthritis and joint or tissue inflammation, among others. Movements are slow, gentle, repetitive, and follow a predictable progression. All fitness levels welcome!

Bootcamp


Take your fitness to the next level! An intense combination of strength training and conditioning drills to get you in tip top shape! Offered in beginner and intermediate classes but all levels welcome!

Spin


Push your limits and ride your way to improved cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone by traversing flats, hills, and rolling terrain that mimic outdoor riding using stationary bikes and motivational music. Customizable, challenging, and fun!

Active Aging


Designed to meet your needs as an older adult, this class helps improve fitness level, improves strength, prevent age related decline, and improves your life! Active Aging includes both standing and seated modifications which will allow you to adjust the workouts to your needs while also allowing you to progress when you feel ready.

Hip Hop


Hip Hop Fit is a high energy workout where you will experience 10-15 songs in this 45-minute class. Each song has a unique routine with repetitive movements. Get your steps in, work up a sweat, and have so much fun you won’t feel like it’s even exercise!

Zumba


Get ready to party yourself into shape! Zumba® is a fitness workout inspired by various rhythms and dancing styles. Exhilarating and easy-to-follow, this international dance inspired, calorie-burning fitness-party will leave you wanting more!

Strength


Build and strengthen your muscles with one of our strength training classes! It is one of the best ways to tone up and increase strength for everyday activities intimidation free!

Cardio


How do we keep our hearts healthy? By doing cardiovascular exercise! Expect to get your heart rate elevated, sweat, and burn serious calories while improving endurance.

Circuits


Ready to improve endurance, strength, and overall fitness level in a fun, fast paced environment? Try circuit training where you move quickly from station to station.

HIIT


Also known as High Intensity Interval Training, is a 30-minute fat blasting workout where you give all out, max effort followed by brief rest periods! One of the most effective forms of training for overall fitness and fat loss. Be prepared to sweat!

Yoga


A relaxing and nourishing practice calms, improves flexibility, increases range of motion, and reduces effects of stress and tension.

Power Yoga


An all-levels class designed to challenge and awaken all that you are capable of! With an emphasis on building strength this class guides students towards greater awareness of self, personal transformation and empowerment.

PiYo


PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga


Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga.

AquaFit


Jump right into our aqua classes and build cardiovascular fitness and strength! Just like swimming, our water aerobics classes are easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Because of their low-impact format, water aerobics classes are suitable for every age and fitness level, from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Resistance tools such as buoyant water weights and noodles are also used. Participants may bring and use their own water shoes and gloves.

Stretch & Stride in the Water


This low impact class uses your body weight and basic water resistance to provide a relaxing experience while increasing flexibility and balance in the water and on land. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace as we focus on isolated and combined joint exercises in shallow water. No swimming experience needed.

Empowerment through exercise and community. This boxing class led by Stacie King will be an effective way to reduce symptoms and improve function for people living with Parkinson’s Disease. Required Evaluation for first time boxers to the program. Membership discounts available. Ask for further details.

Youth Policy

Fitness Room:

Ages 10 and under:

Youth is not allowed in fitness floor or fitness classes

Ages 11-15:

Must pass safety orientation and be supervised by parent or guardian (18+)
